Abstract
This paper presents a method allowing extracting high frequency electromagnetic properties (permittivity and permeability) of dielectric materials. From the coaxial cell dimensions and its S parameters, we can extract the electromagnetic characteristics of the material inserted inside the cell. The metrological approach presented in this paper shows weak uncertainty level, from 10 MHz up to 18 GHz. The cell has been designed in order to perform several measurements on different materials without any risk of damaging it.
