Abstract
Decontamination of clean rooms and air treatment systems does not occur anymore in the pharmaceutical industry with formaldehyde, but with hydrogen peroxide or hydrogen peroxide plus adjuvants. Monitoring systems for biocide generation occurs through specific sensors tolerating these concentrated gases. This article describes a simple and reproducible method of calibration for this type of sensors, based on the calculation of the partial pressure of the H2O2 gas above a solution of H2O2 liquid for a known concentration at a known temperature. The developed method reduces the calibration uncertainty over current techniques used in industry.
